My client, a main contractor with a Water Company is looking for a Senior Planner - Water, starting on a contract bases with a view it can become more long term for the right person.
- Rate: £340 PAYE to £430 per day Umbrella PAYE
- Long term contract work.
- Location: Surrey / Southern Water Region.
This is a exciting long term role where you will be responsible for programme creation in consultation with the Planning Team, Design Team and site team.
Manage, maintain, administer the programme; liaise with estimators, subcontractors, suppliers, site staff and engineers to discuss the progress of the project; understand and identify programme risk and communicate this to the team; provide weekly and monthly reports and attend weekly and monthly meetings.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of business management systems
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
- Experience of manipulating datasets and working with databases
- At least 5 preferably 8+ years' experience in construction and/or water infrastructure? Water related experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles
- Effective communication skills including writing reports and presenting.
- Management experience advantageous
