An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supplier Quality Development Engineer (remote based) to join this industry leading photonics engineering and manufacturing business.

As the Supplier Quality Development Engineer, you will manage supplier quality processes for both the UK and European supply chain. You will be responsible for troubleshooting quality issues, performing audits, onboarding suppliers and implementing supplier performance and risk management programs.

This a remote / home based role travelling across the South West of the UK visiting customer sites. The successful applicant will need to able to travel to site occasionally at either Torquay, Plymouth or Ilminster.

Key skills and experience for Supplier Quality Development Engineer:

  • Previous experience within a supplier / customer facing quality role
  • Significant experience within a manufacturing environment ideally electronics, aerospace, automotive etc.
  • Developed and implemented supplier quality processes, reviews and audits
  • Lead auditor experience in a nationally recognised standard i.e. AS9100
  • Excellent customer facing and communication skills
  • Full clean driving licence
