I am partnered with a privately owned manufacturing company based in Downham Market to recruit for a HR Manager on a part time permanent basis. The ideal candidate would be able to work 3 full working days, however there is flexibility on the start/finish times and working days if required.

The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role is crucial for ensuring the company attracts, hires, develops, and retains talented employees while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings (adverts and agency interactions), candidate screening, interviewing, and selection. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new employees are integrated smoothly into the company.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, ensuring issues are resolved promptly, fairly and consistent with the company values. Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution. Escalate concerns to the Operations Director or Managing Director as and when required.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance review systems. Ensures that regular performance reviews and feedback mechanisms are adhered to by employees and managers.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth. Organise and facilitate training sessions and workshops to build capability and knowledge within teams.
  • Compliance and Policy Management: Ensure company policies comply with UK employment laws and regulations. Update, maintain and communicate effectively HR policies and procedures.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Oversee payroll and benefits administration. Review and update compensation structures to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
  • HR Strategy and Planning: Working alongside and with the support of the Fractional People Director develop a Strategic People Plan to achieve company goals. Monitor HR metrics and report on key performance indicators that support the achievement of the Strategic People Plan.

This is a newly created, stand alone role, reporting into either the Operations or Managing Director. To be considered for this role, it's essential you have sufficient experience in a similar hands-on position. A CIPD qualification would be beneficial, however we are also willing to consider candidates who are qualified by experience.

On offer is a salary between £40,000-£50,000 per annum, which is potentially negotiable depending on experience. On top of this, the benefits include a bonus profit share scheme.
