NXTGEN are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join a well-known brands site finance team as a Finance Assistant. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting transactional and control activities across each of our factory sites. The role will be responsible for ensuring an accurate reflection of P&L, Balance Sheet and stock transactions and balances in our accounting ERP system, as well as ensuring effective financial control and compliance in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensuring an accurate reflection of P&L, Balance Sheet and stock transactions and balances in our accounting ERP system.

* Ensuring effective financial control and compliance in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.

* Being responsible for all delivery, despatch, and transactional processes.

* Reconciliation of inter-site movements of products and materials.

* Ensuring capital assets are capitalised in line with corporate guidelines and run corporate periodic depreciation.

* Reconciliation of site stocks and investigation of variances to ensure timely control of stock balances.

* Assisting in the period end and year end processes by preparing and inputting journals. Providing support in the preparation and completion of year end schedules.

Requirements:

* Actively studying AAT/other professional finance qualifications - or desire to study (study support package will be provided).

* Knowledge of financial transaction processes (journals, reconciliations (including stock), goods receipts etc).

* Strong IT skills - particularly MS Excel.

* Able to communicate both accurately and efficiently.

* Ability to organise and prioritise.

* Driven with a desire to achieve and make improvements to processes.

* Works on own initiative and ability to work as part of a team.
