LTi Metaltech specialises in the precision fabrication and welding of high performance vessels and structures for use in demanding industrial applications, from cryogenic pressure vessels to high tech industrial furnaces, and nuclear waste containers.

We have an opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our Quality Department on a temporary basis (expected duration 3- 4 months), working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary will be up to £35,000, with the potential for slight flexibility dependant on experience.

LTi operate two main shifts, Early & Late. The Late Shift work from 14:15-22:25hrs. Whilst not essential, it would be helpful if the successful candidate had flexibility to start later in the working day and to provide additional cover across the Late Shift hours.

KEY TASKS

  • Promoting the importance of quality assurance at every business level and the delivery of 'A' grade products
  • Ensuring products and processes comply with the relevant standard and requirements
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to troubleshoot problems
  • Monitoring, investigating and supporting the resolution of Customer, Supplier and internal non conformances
  • Supporting the NPI process to ensure quality assurance is intrinsic from project development stages

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a Quality Engineer role, ideally in the Manufacturing Industry
  • Confident in root cause and related data analysis
  • Logical and methodical problem solver
  • HNC/ degree in Engineering
  • Experience of mechanical inspection equipment would be advantageous
