We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Chemistry & Dangerous Goods Product Manager to lead our initiatives in the manufacturing sector initially on a 1 year contract. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that prioritises safety, quality, and innovation. If you have a passion for product management and a strong understanding of chemistry and regulations surrounding dangerous goods, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the lifecycle of product lines, focusing on chemistry-related aspects and compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and regulatory teams to ensure products meet safety standards and customer expectations.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes to inform product development.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance product performance and safety.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards related to dangerous goods.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and training to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyse product performance, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments as necessary.
  • Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure safe handling and transportation of dangerous goods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, chemistry, or related roles within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and safety standards (e.g., UN, OSHA, EPA).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing product lifecycles from conception to market launch.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using product management tools and software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
