We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Chemistry & Dangerous Goods Product Manager to lead our initiatives in the manufacturing sector initially on a 1 year contract. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that prioritises safety, quality, and innovation. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the lifecycle of product lines, focusing on chemistry-related aspects and compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and regulatory teams to ensure products meet safety standards and customer expectations.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes to inform product development.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance product performance and safety.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards related to dangerous goods.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and training to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyse product performance, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments as necessary.
- Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure safe handling and transportation of dangerous goods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, chemistry, or related roles within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and safety standards (e.g., UN, OSHA, EPA).
- Proven track record of successfully managing product lifecycles from conception to market launch.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in using product management tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
