The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing routine and emergency repairs on mechanical equipment and maintaining service equipment such as vessels and cooling towers.
Candidates should possess mechanical engineering qualifications or demonstrate relevant experience, along with basic welding skills and some awareness of electrical engineering.
The role requires a full UK driving licence and a team player with good communication skills, as well as physical fitness due to the hands-on nature of the work.
The position offers a salary of £35,000 per year and requires at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

Carry out routine and emergency repairs to mechanical equipment
Agree with supervisors the timing of scheduled maintenance work and use the scheduled maintenance control system
Routine maintenance on plant service equipment - Vessels & cooling towers etc.
Observe the workplace and report/repair faulty equipment
Maintain stocks of engineering consumables
Carry out and/or assist in routine testing and inspection of engineering equipment and systems
Assist with management of Contractors as and when required

Qualifications & Experience

Mechanical engineering qualifications or the ability to demonstrate experience and competence in this area
Basic welding skills
Some electrical engineering awareness
Full UK driving licence
Team player with good communications skills
Physically fit due to the hands-on nature of the role
