The Role

Azotic Technologies Ltd, a dynamic Biotech company specialising in agricultural solutions, is seeking a Microbiology Technician to join our growing team!

You will report into the Technical Commercial Support team, and be an integral member supporting all aspects of Azotic’s commercial microbiology and product research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Technical Commercial Support team in routine biological compatibility testing of agrochemicals and further assay development.
  • Assisting in Data recording and entry in an organised format.
  • Completion of COSHH assessments for incoming pesticides.
  • Setting up, calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Provide support for all the laboratory functions on site including stock management and ordering of consumables.
  • Support a continuous improvement culture within the laboratory environment.

The Person

  • A BSc or equivalent in a biological scientific field (microbiology/biotechnology preferred).
  • Minimum C grade (or equivalent) in Maths and Science at A-Level (or 5 years' relevant experience).
  • Proficiency in computer programs (e.g. Excel, Word).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • A self-motivated individual who thrives on success.
  • Right to work in the UK with a valid driver’s licence.
