Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage night-time operations on-site, ensuring work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Conduct daily site inspections and record measurements, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.
- Collaborate with the project manager and other engineers to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly those unique to night working conditions.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including work permits, risk assessments, and safety reports.
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure quality control of materials and workmanship.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of work schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience working on highways or large infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and quality management systems.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, GPS, and other engineering software is an advantage.
- Valid CSCS card.
