The position is for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer on a contract basis, specifically targeting candidates with a background in building services or M&E from HVAC manufacturers, contractors, or consultancies.

Key responsibilities include designing LV electrical layouts, equipment selection, attending meetings with customers, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Candidates should possess an HNC or degree in Electrical Engineering, be 18th Edition qualified, and have experience with AutoCAD; familiarity with Amtech Pro Design is highly beneficial.
The pay rate for this role is between £30 to £35 per hour, equating to approximately £280 per day or £65,000 per annum, with a rolling monthly contract and flexible working hours.

Electrical Design Engineer - contract

We invite applications from experienced Electrical Design Engineers with a background in; building services / M&E ideally from either an HVAC equipment manufacturer, M&E Contractor or Building Services Consultancy background.

We require someone to hit the ground running so only able to accept applications from local individuals with electrical design experience.

Highly beneficial if you can use Amtech Pro Design and/or Trimble.

The Role

Electrical design of LV electrical layout requirements for multiple simultaneous projects
Equipment selections and design calculations
Attend Teams meeting with customers
Assist with project planning
Maintenance of relevant regulatory/legislative compliance
Specification of compliant parts and practices

Hours: 38 hours, flexible working between (Apply online only), lunchtime finish Fridays

An experienced Electrical Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer
Likely to have worked in an M&E Contractor or Building Services Consultancy
Previous experience in electrical services
18th Edition qualified
Electrical Design skills essential
HNC or degree in Electrical Engineering
AutoCAD experience/qualification
Amtech design calculation software experience is preferable
Driving licence
