We are now looking for an experienced Childcare Manager to lead the nursery team and ensure high-quality care and learning in line with their values and regulatory standards.
Role Overview:
As the Childcare Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, caring, and stimulating environment while managing and supporting a team of dedicated childcare professionals. This role requires a strong leader with a passion for early childhood education, excellent organizational skills, and a deep commitment to child development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, inspire, and support the nursery team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Childcare Standards: Ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and early years education are met in line with regulatory requirements.
- Curriculum Planning: Oversee the implementation of the early years curriculum, ensuring activities are age-appropriate, engaging, and support children's development.
- Parent Communication: Build positive relationships with parents, addressing their needs and concerns, and providing regular feedback on their child’s progress.
- Compliance: Ensure the nursery complies with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements, keeping up-to-date with the latest EYFS and Ofsted standards.
- Administrative Duties: Manage budgets, staffing schedules, training, and maintain accurate records of children’s development and attendance.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to evaluate and enhance nursery programs, policies, and practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent), ideally with a degree in Early Years or a related field.
- Experience in a childcare management or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of EYFS curriculum and Ofsted standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults.
- Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid certification.
- Experience with nursery administration and budget management.
- Proven track record of successfully passing Ofsted inspections.
