- Financial Management & Reporting: Lead the production of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports for senior leadership. Perform variance analysis, oversee VAT returns, manage cash reconciliations (Sterling and Euro), and maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow: Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts aligned with business goals. Manage cash flow and working capital, including producing cash flow forecasts and overseeing AP/AR functions and intercompany transactions
- Cost Control & Efficiency: Analyse production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives. Monitor bank activity, authorise payments, manage contracts (e.g. IT, utilities), and streamline financial processes to improve efficiency
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, internal policies, and audit requirements. Lead internal and external audits, enforce robust internal controls, and investigate financial discrepancies
- Payroll & HR Finance: Manage payroll processes including PAYE, pensions, weekly wages, and statutory compliance. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to all relevant regulations
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing finance team. Set clear goals, provide support and training, and foster a collaborative and accountable working culture
- An ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification, with solid experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- A proven track record managing finances for businesses of a similar scale
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a strategic mindset
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly
- Experience of using Sage 200 and 50
- Experience of working as part of a senior management team reporting directly to the Managing Director
