Senior Finance Officer
Location: Worcester / Home Based
Part-Time (max 30 hours per week)
Salary: 56,073 Pro Rata
Full CCAB qualifications (CIPFA preferred)
We are looking to recruit a qualified accountant to join a leading Public Sector organisation.
This role requires you to lead a small team and is ideal for someone who has a passion for management accounting and delivering large capital projects. This is an opportunity to be at the centre of decision making on how this business is financed and ensuring that public sector resources are being utilised efficiently and effectively whilst delivering a quality public service.
We are looking for someone who can provide professional, proactive and effective support and advice as well as financial management, planning and value for money.

Experience:
- Experience working within a professional accounting environment, ideally in a large organisation.
- Experience or sufficient awareness of working in a political environment.
- Experience in improving current procedures where needed.
- Experience of formulating and implementing financial strategies with senior team members including problem solving.
Essential Skills:
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to interpret and extrapolate financial information data
- Ability to look wider than the financial implications of business decisions and identify and assess the wider strategic impacts.
This role is commutable from Kidderminster, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Hereford, Malvern, Ledbry, Evesham, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Bewdley, Driotwich Spa and Persore and is just off Junction 6 off the M5.
