Role Overview:

A well-established manufacturing business in Droitwich is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team. This operational quality role focuses on maintaining and improving quality standards within a production environment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and resolving quality-related issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and experience in quality management tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) within the production environment, ensuring swift identification and resolution of quality issues.
  • Conduct containment, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions and investigations using established methodologies such as 8D reports.
  • Liaise with key internal functions, including production and engineering teams, to resolve production-related quality issues effectively.
  • Write and update internal quality documents to reflect current standards and practices.
  • Manage and maintain internal NCRs using to ensure accurate record-keeping and traceability.
  • Address and resolve customer escapes and concerns using quality tools such as RCCA, 8D, 5Y, and PFMEA, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing is essential with a regulated industry (aero, auto, medical is highly beneficial.
  • Proven expertise in quality tools and methodologies, including RCCA, 8D, 5Y, and PFMEA.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and software.
