We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Technical Digital Consultant to deliver transformative IT and digital solutions for our clients, whilst helping grow our innovative IT & Digital Transformation team. This role offers a variety of exciting projects, with opportunities to make a real impact and develop new services.

About the role:

  • Delivering impactful client projects, such as:
    • Conducting IT Due Diligence to assess systems, infrastructure, and governance, uncovering risks and opportunities for potential acquirers.
    • Performing current-state IT assessments, producing actionable recommendations and high-level reports.
    • Leading the selection and implementation of new systems (e.g., ERP, Finance Systems, WMS), including gathering requirements, researching vendors, and managing implementation.
    • Advising clients on cost-effective licensing strategies and conducting reviews.
    • Developing IT and Digital Transformation strategies tailored to client goals.
    • Managing the successful delivery of projects from start to finish.
  • Creating new IT and digital service offerings for our clients.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and expanding our client base.
  • Representing Ballards LLP as an expert in technology or business areas.
  • Shaping the future of our department by leading internal projects, refining processes, and promoting collaboration.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with the ability to deliver exceptional client service. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Strong technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft licensing.
  • Proven experience delivering and managing IT & Digital projects, either in a consulting capacity or within a business.
  • A track record of developing IT & Digital Strategies.
  • A high level of motivation to grow and develop the IT & Digital department.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams and clients.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Exceptional report writing skills, with experience delivering clear and concise reports to senior client stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms and data analytics tools like Power BI, and familiarity with cyber security certification processes (e.g., Cyber Essentials) would be advantageous.
