We are working with a leading client in the food and drink sector to recruit a Raw Material Technologist to join their technical team. Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company maintains high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
-Specification Management: Maintain and update specifications for raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
-Customer Queries: Handle and resolve customer queries efficiently, providing technical support as required.
-Supplier Management: Oversee the onboarding of new suppliers and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers. Conduct supplier approval and performance reviews.
-Internal Audits: Act as a core member of the internal audit team to ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) remains effective and compliant.
-Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to BRC, HACCP, and other regulatory standards across all processes.
Requirements:
-Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the food and drink industry.
-Knowledge: In-depth understanding of BRC and HACCP requirements.
-Education: Degree in Food Science, Technology, or a related field is essential.
-Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
