They are seeking an experienced and meticulous Manufacturing Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.Manufacturing EngineerPermanent positionDroitwich£40,000 - £50,000 Role Overview:As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and support the full production lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:• Develop efficient, DFMA-aligned processes. Conduct PFMEAs, create control plans, and optimize production layouts.• Provide technical support, resolve issues on the floor, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.• Implement quality systems, perform root cause analysis (8D), manage NCRs, and ensure compliance with industry standards.• Select and maintain manufacturing equipment, and develop necessary tooling and fixtures using lean principles.• Apply Lean Six Sigma to minimize waste, conduct cost analysis, and collaborate on procurement efficiency.• Maintain SOPs, process documentation, and generate performance reports to guide improvements.• Lead NPI projects, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure cross-functional alignment.• Drive process innovation, stay current on technologies, and train staff on new methods and tools.Ideal Candidate:• Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.• Solid background in manufacturing/process engineering• Experienced with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), PLM/ERP systems, and BOM structures.• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, DFMA, PFMEA, and quality systems (ISO 9001).• Skilled in project management, technical communication, and structured problem-solving.Working Hours:• Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 4pm• Friday 7am – 1pm Benefits• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays• 8.5% pension (4 employee & 4.5% employer)
