Sea and Air Freight Customer Service Operative
Location: Worcestershire
Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (part-time hours considered)
We are seeking a dedicated Sea and Air Freight Customer Service Operative to join our clients small, friendly team specialising in sea and air freight. This role involves managing sea and air shipments with a strong focus on exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, overseeing shipments from booking to delivery.
- Coordinate and monitor the entire start to finish shipping process, liaising with overseas agents and managing import clearance.
- Provide quotes for sea and air shipments, both import and export.
- Book shipments with suppliers/carriers using in-house systems and manage invoicing.
- Address and resolve operational issues, ensuring high service standards throughout.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.
About You:
- Previous experience in sea and air freight is ideal, though experience in other freight modes (air/road) combined with strong customer service skills will also be considered.
- A solid understanding of inbound and outbound customs processes.
- Customer-focused with a strong commitment to exceptional service.
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and organized.
- Proficient in problem-solving and resolving operational challenges efficiently.
