The Company

Our client is a leading provider of contract services in the construction and hospitality industry working throughout the UK. They have seen their revenues double in the last three years. Now entering a further period of sustainable growth, they are seeking a talented Procurement Manager to join their team.

The Role

A newly created role, you will lead the procurement function playing a critical role in managing the procurement processes and supply chain, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies necessary for all procurement related projects.

You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and optimising procurement strategies to maximise efficiency and profitability and also ensuring optimal stock availability. Given the collaborative nature of the business you will be consistently business partnering across all functions to ensure you understand the intricacies of operations.

The Candidate

You may already be a Procurement Manager or looking for a step up into a broader role. What is essential for our client is the right attitude and energy. Your approach will be hands on, can-do with the ability to negotiate with suppliers and build lasting relationships. Your experience will have ideally been gained in the contract management/construction industry and you will have strong systems skill ideally with experience working with ERP and CRM system. Being a member of CIPS or studying currently would be a distinct advantage too.
