Role: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: £35,000 - £43,000 + overtime

This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering business in Chesterfield.

This market leading company operates in a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive and transportation, employing over 4,500 people in 22 countries.

The Maintenance Engineer will conduct planned preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment remains safe and in good working order. To proactively engage in activities which improve equipment availability.

Main responsibilities:

Health Safety & Environment

  • Support statutory and regulatory inspections
  • Manage & control cooling tower testing and maintenance activities to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Comply with company health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Maintain good working practices and housekeeping

Maintenance

  • Preventative maintenance
  • Emergency repairs including call outs
  • Proactive engagement in problem solving and continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment reliability
  • Procurement and management of engineering spares
  • Maintain planned and unplanned maintenance activity records
  • Supervise and control contractor work on site
