Echelon Engineers are recruiting on behalf of a leading process plant equipment manufacturer who are looking for an experienced AutoCAD Draughtsman with strong P&ID experience to support ongoing project work on a contract basis.

The Role:

You will be working closely with the engineering and project teams to produce detailed 2D drawings and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for bespoke industrial systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in delivering high-quality drawings within manufacturing or engineering settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing 2D technical drawings and P&IDs using AutoCAD.

  • Liaising with engineers to interpret specifications and requirements.

  • Ensuring all drawings are accurate and comply with relevant standards.

  • Making updates and revisions to existing documentation as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (2D).

  • Strong P&ID drafting experience.

  • Background in process engineering, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.

  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of process plant equipment and mechanical layouts.

  • Experience working in a project-based engineering team.
