Our client is a London-based agency, with finance located in picturesque offices just outside Southampton/Winchester. The business has more than quadrupled its turnover in recent years and is on an exciting growth journey, with big contract wins and a focus on becoming both “the agency of choice” and “the best place to work” in the industry. The role will business partner with divisional heads across the company. You will be responsible for the monthly management accounts, as well as taking ownership of all client projects across the organisation.

What will the Finance Manager involve?

  • Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts, reporting to the Finance Director.

  • Oversight of project accounting, WIP management, and monthly project reviews.

  • Compilation and review of budgeting and forecasting cycles.

  • Cashflow forecasting and balance sheet ownership.

  • Supervision of finance operations including banking, payables, receivables, and payroll.

  • VAT returns, HMRC submissions, and audit liaison.

  • Financial analysis to support cost reduction and improved efficiency.

  • Data analysis across client and service lines.

  • Supporting system integration and acting as a superuser for finance platforms (Xero, HubSpot, Procim).

  • Providing financial insights to support board and operational decision making.

  • Line management of junior team members and onboarding of new starters in finance processes.


Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager vacancy:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA Ideally qualified but would consider finalist
  •  Previous experience in management accounts preparation
  •  Experience in a project-based business
  •  Strong Excel skills
  •  Experience using multiple systems with large amounts of data
