The role:

A local independent builders merchant, committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing high-quality products is seeking a proactive, customer-focused, and experienced Retail Supervisor to join the team.

Role Overview:

As a Retail Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient store operations. Youll lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, drive sales performance, and support in managing day-to-day store activities, including staff training, inventory management, and visual merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock replenishment, and product displays.

Handle customer queries and complaints effectively, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control, including ordering and stocktaking.

Collaborate daily with the Yard Manager to ensure smooth running of the business and the customer experience.

Support the management team in daily administrative tasks.

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in retail or customer-facing roles, ideally with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

A passion for delivering high-quality customer service 

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays (rota)
