Mike Collins Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Surface Grinder Operator for our busy client based in Dudley.
Main Responsibilities:
Setting and operating of various Blanchard Facing Grinding machines
Working to tight tolerances.
Grinding of bearings and bearing related components
Working to drawings provided ensuring all work is of the highest standard.
Contributing to the maintenance of Health and Safety in the workplace.
Promoting good housekeeping for an efficient working environment.
Person Specification:
Experience in working in a similar role would be an advantage.
Preferably from a mechanical apprentice trained background.
Experienced in using Grinding Machines.
Working from Engineering drawings.
Ability to self inspect work using micrometers and slip gauges.
Ability to work to close tolerances and using various measuring equipment essential.
Able to work under own initiative.
Suitable candidates should be fully experienced in the relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate specific product and technical knowledge.
Hours of work are: Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.15pm, Friday 7.30am - 12pm.
Rate of pay: £13.33 to £15.69 per hour depending on Experience. Overtime Monday to Thursday time and a third, Friday time and a half.
