Shirley Parsons are pleased to have exclusively partnered with a leading education organisation who are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. We are seeking a confident and competent Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and develop policies that promote a safe working environment. The successful candidate will lead the proactive development of the health and safety strategy, be the main point of contact for all health and safety enquiries and assist in managing the H&S budget.

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  • Developing a positive health and Safety culture across the organisation
  • Provide expert advice, guidance and support to a range of internal stakeholders
  • Deliver a range of training including inductions, first aid and general H&S awareness
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance


The Health and Safety Manager will have:

  • A Diploma/ Degree level qualification in Health and Safety
  • 3+ years of experience within education, local authorities or similar environments
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to engender strong working relationships at all levels
