Job Title: Production Planner

Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Hours:

• Monday – Thursday: 7am – 4pm
• Friday: 7am – 2:30pm

Salary: Up to £35,000 dependant on experience 

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our dynamic team in Dudley, West Midlands. If you have a strong background in fabrication and manufacturing, with experience in managing production processes and stock levels, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and scheduling production activities using our MRP system (Work Plan).
• Coordinating daily production operations, with a focus on Laser, Punch, Press Brakes, and fabrication processes.
• Managing stock levels for sheet metal and steel lengths to ensure efficient production.
• Working closely with the production team to ensure on-time delivery of low-volume and one-off orders.
• Optimizing production schedules to meet customer demands and reduce downtime.
• Ensuring the availability of materials and coordinating with purchasing to reorder stock as necessary.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience with MRP systems, ideally Work Plan.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Laser, Punch, Press Brakes, and fabrication processes.
• A background in low-volume or one-off manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage production efficiently.
• Ability to monitor stock levels and ensure material availability for ongoing production needs.
• Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
