The Role:

The Systems Developer will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organisation by leveraging advanced data visualisation and analysis techniques.

With strong Power BI and SQL skills and a forward-thinking approach, the role focuses on creating scalable MI solutions that improve business processes, drive efficiency, and uncover insights from large datasets.

The developer will collaborate closely with various departments to strategically explore innovative ways to solve complex business challenges through data.

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide insights and business intelligence solutions
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various databases, ensuring data integrity and optimisation of performance
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and translate business requirements into actionable data insights
  • Leverage advanced analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and machine learning techniques (where applicable) to push the boundaries of data-driven decision-making
  • Automate data workflows and reporting processes to streamline business operations and reduce manual effort
  • Maintain and manage existing MS Dynamics 365 platform
  • Maintain and manage online Statement of Account platform running on Zoho Creator
  • Effective communication with relevant stakeholders to fully assess their data requirements, working to agreed SLAs, and delivering exceptional service
  • Collaborate with IT and other internal teams in the delivery of appropriate solutions
  • Document configuration, processes and workflows
  • To comply fully with all regulatory requirements, and our internal data governance policies
  • Effective communication with third parties where necessary regarding any data, services or changes to the existing platforms

Skills:

  • At least an A Level or HND in Computer Studies or equivalent technical qualification
  • Essential to have knowledge and ideally minimum of 2 years' experience of PowerBI and SQL and Excel.
  • Good knowledge, experience and understanding of Power BI, SQL and Excel
  • Knowledge of Power Automate (Flow), Jira Service Desk, Zoho Creator, Dynamics 365 would be beneficial
  • Effective communicator, with a high level of interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to explain complex issues in a concise and straightforward way to a wide range of audiences
  • Innovative, with a passion for exploring new technologies and methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a forward-thinking, creative approach to tackling challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as effectively collaborating within a team
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources to consistently prioritise and deliver within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to challenge processes to ensure operational efficiency at all times
  • Comfortable liaising with third parties where necessary and taking ownership of new and ongoing project work
