We are now recruiting for a skilled machinist to join a small, close knit team as a General Machinist Setter / Operator / Inspector in the Dudley area.
About the Role
Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, you will be responsible for setting and operating a range of machines, ensuring high-quality production and supporting goods-in inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operateRiello machine centres, Pedestal Drills, Lathes, and Milling Machines
- Work to tight tolerances and read engineering drawings
- Use Verniers and Micrometers to ensure precision
- Provide goods-in inspection for Far East sourced products, checking against drawings and tolerances
- Support Assembly operations when required
- Operate machinery safely, following TD guidelines and manufacturers' recommendations
- Manufacture components to agreed quality standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in setting and operating machinery (as listed above)
- CNC experience is an advantage but not essential
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to work to precise tolerances
- Strong teamwork skills
