Key Responsibilities as a maintenance engineer:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all operational equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the MP2 maintenance program.
  • Troubleshoot and repair operational equipment on a daily basis.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and prevent breakdowns.
  • Respond promptly to significant breakdowns and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Train personnel in the correct and safe operation of various machines.
  • Prioritise tasks to maintain assembly buffers effectively.
The ideal maintenance engineer will have:
  • Minimum City & Guilds level 3 mechanical/electrical engineering (preferably apprentice trained)
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a customer-oriented personality and approach.
  • Have experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Exhibit strong diligence, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and potential hazards are identified.
  • Have a basic understanding of electrical, pneumatics, and other systems.
  • Show willingness and flexibility to work overtime.
  • Be open to occasional travel.

Hours of work will be 7.30am-4pm Monday to Friday.
