About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Buyer to join our team in Dudley. As a key part of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing for our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, plant, and subcontractor services.
- Negotiate competitive rates and establish strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure materials are delivered on time and within budget.
- Work closely with project managers and site teams to meet project requirements.
- Monitor market trends, prices, and supply chain risks.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Construction Buyer (contractor experience preferred).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and supply chains.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
