· Commutable from Bridgnorth, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Ludlow, Dudley, Worcester, Birmingham, Wolverhampton with frequent site visits

Company Overview - Quantity Surveyor

This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career within the smoke and ventilation industry. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the financial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide key financial support and ensure the highest standards of commercial management.

  • Prepare interim valuations and final accounts for active projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Certify payments to subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with contractual agreements.
  • Review and negotiate variations and change orders with clients and subcontractors.
  • Generate and submit payment applications to clients in a professional and organised manner.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Attend site meetings to monitor progress, address commercial concerns, and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of all commercial activities, and produce regular reports for senior management.

Key Experience/Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the Mechanical and Electrical sector.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and standard forms of contract.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Strong initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • A Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (Essential)
