Job Title: Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant

90 - 110 per day per day
Role Overview:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have special educational needs and disabilities, supporting their learning and ensuring they have the best possible educational experience. You will collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:
- 6 months plus experience working in a UK Primary School.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (desirable).
- Experience working with children with SEND, either in a school or similar setting.
- A good understanding of various SEND conditions and strategies to support them.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, tailored to their individual needs.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities, adapting materials and approaches as required.
- Help students with personal care and mobility needs as necessary.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment, promoting inclusion and engagement.
