Job Title: HGV Technician

Pay: £17.70 – 35.41 an hour

About the Role
Join the largest privately owned logistics company in the North East as a skilled HGV Technician at our Cramlington site. In this hands-on role, you’ll work with a diverse fleet, performing fault diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and full vehicle overhauls. You'll be crucial in ensuring the fleet operates efficiently, from breakdown recovery to MOT preparation and engine/gearbox repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fault diagnostics and repairs on a variety of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
- Perform routine servicing, breakdown recovery, and comprehensive vehicle overhauls.
- Prepare and present vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring compliance and roadworthiness.
- Complete engine and gearbox repairs to the highest standard.
- Work independently to meet tight deadlines, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of post-qualification experience in HGV maintenance.
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification or equivalent time-served experience.
- A Class 1 HGV Licence is highly desirable but not essential.
- Dependable and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.

- Overtime rates at £23.01, £26.57, and £35.41 per hour.

Shift Pattern
- Week 1: Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:30
- Week 2: Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 19:00, plus Saturday morning shifts.
