Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
- Friday: 7:30 am – 3:00 pm
- Lunch Break: 30-minute unpaid daily
- Total Hours: 39 hours per week
- Position Type: Temp to Perm
- Salary - £16 - £18 per hour
Job Purpose
To assist the Manufacturing Manager by undertaking the fabrication and welding of products according to customer drawings and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Tasks
- Fabrication
- Welding (Manual TIG, Orbital)
Secondary Tasks
- Internal Polishing
- External Polishing
- Machining (manual centre lathe, manual mill, radial drill)
- Inspection
- Stores (goods in, dispatch, manual handling)
General Responsibilities
- Develop skills to safely complete manufacturing requirements.
- Understand and apply materials handling practices.
- Use and maintain PPE consistently; adhere to Health & Safety regulations.

Desirable Skills
- Engineering knowledge (drawings, etc.)
- Manufacturing background
- Previous experience with weld coding
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities
General Duties
- Perform housekeeping duties in all areas of the shop floor as required.
- Undertake new skills training as necessary.
- Support manufacturing projects initiated by the Manufacturing Manager.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Managing Director.
