DCS Engineering recruitment are currently looking to recruit an experienced press brake operator to join our client who are market leaders in the subcontract aerospace domain. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be part of a team that completes the forming of mostly thin gauge aluminium (singular or multiple bend parts) with batch sizes ranging from 1 off to 200. You'll be based in our safe, clean and well organised sheet metal factory with the press brake cell using one of our Amada machines.
You must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and have the ability to both set up and/or programme our press brakes and be able to self-inspect the work that you produce.
Essential Requirements:
- Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place.
- Previous experience of setting, programming and using press brakes, ideally Amada.
- Ability to read / understand drawings / follow written instructions
- Key processes / equipment familiarity: Amada press-brake, levelling rolls, manual inspection equipment. (95% of work is thin gauge [<2mm] aluminium)
- All close tolerance / high quality work
The hours for this role can be compressed over four days working 7:00am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday, alternatively, worked over five days (with Friday being a shorter day).
