Full-Time Outreach Tutor

Position: Full-Time Tutor (SEMH - Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)
Start date: ASAP until end of academic year.

We are looking for a passionate, adaptable, and experienced tutor to join our team on a full-time basis.
Role Overview: As a Tutor at our SEMH school, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students with diverse needs. You will be expected to teach both within the school setting and provide offsite support as part of our outreach program, working closely with students in alternative environments, including transporting them in your car.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to students with SEMH needs, both in school and offsite.
- Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons based on individual student needs and abilities.
- Provide targeted support to improve academic progress, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure studentsā holistic development.
- Deliver offsite tutoring and outreach activities, providing support in community settings.
- Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes self-esteem and confidence.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience in working with students with SEMH needs or similar challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across both in-school and offsite settings.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to plan effectively.
- A passion for helping vulnerable students reach their full potential.
Desirable:
- Experience in delivering outreach support or working in alternative education settings.
- A background in teaching or supporting students with complex emotional or behavioral needs.
