Technical Co-ordinator

At Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals UK & Ireland (SGCC UKI), we are looking for a Technical Co-Ordinator to work in our technical services team. As part of the role you will be providing customers (Architects, Engineers and Contractors) with a high level of technical advice across our waterproofing product ranges.

As well as providing technical advice, you will be identifying opportunities for our commercial team to visit customers, to both develop and secure SGCC UKI specifications, promoting the brand or for products/services.

This is a hybrid role, based out of our office in Dukinfield (however for the right candidate would also consider Coventry/Slough).

What we're looking for:

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation (and external customers)
• Previous experience in a technical role - particularly with an understanding of technical concepts, and principles in building construction
• Construction or designed related qualifications/graduate or other construction-related experience (CSSW qualified)
• Able to produce detailed design proposals in accordance with current industry standards

What you will be doing:

• Dealing with technical inbound queries in a timely and professional manner from customers via telephone and e-mail
• Pre-qualifying customer enquiries, establishing their requirements and passing on to commercial sales team
• Preparing technical proposals, correspondence, details/drawing and specifications
• Working cross-collaboratively with internal stakeholders at all levels
