Sonic Summary
- We are seeking experienced HGV Technicians for our busy workshops, requiring previous experience in the field.
- Key responsibilities include MOT preparation, vehicle diagnostics, and servicing HGVs and trailers according to depot procedures.
- Candidates should possess a Level 3 NVQ or City and Guilds qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, along with a valid driving license.
- The position offers a salary starting at £39,520, with overtime paid at 1.5 for hours exceeding 47.5 per week.
- Candidates should be available to work Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays, totaling 47.5 hours per week.
Duties:
Must be conversant with current working methods, including:
* MOT Preparation
* Vehicle and Trailer diagnostics
* Carrying out service and maintenance of predominantly HGV but also Trailers and LGV as per depot procedures
* Experience of onsite inspections and attending breakdowns preferable
* Complete job sheets and inspection sheets with full write up of tasks completed
Required Certification & Experience:
* Level 3 NVQ / City and Guilds 1,2,3 Qualification or equivalent in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
* Driving Licence
* HGV 1 licence is preferable but not essential
Hours : Mon - Fri 08:00 - 18:00, with alternate Saturdays 07:00-12:00 (47.5 hours with 30 mins unpaid lunch break) Overtime paid at 1.5 (any hours over 47.5 i.e the alternate Saturdays and anything additional)
Salary: 39,520+
