We're looking for a Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturer in Tameside. In this role, you'll support the Managing Director in overseeing daily factory operations while ensuring full compliance across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Forecast, reorder, and manage materials for the factory.
* Collaborate closely with production departments to understand processes and material needs.
* Conduct regular checks, assessments, and internal audits to maintain and improve quality standards.
* Drive quality controls to reduce issues and delays.
* Oversee the induction, training, and ongoing development of new production staff.
* Take responsibility for health and safety across all departments.
* Plan and execute a comprehensive schedule of internal and external audits annually.
* Manage maintenance and servicing schedules for all equipment.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in health and safety is essential.
* NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management is highly desirable.
* Strong administrative and communication skills are essential.
* Proven experience in negotiation and administration is highly valued.
* A background in a production environment is advantageous.
