Children’s Services in Tameside are on an improvement journey and we looking for a committed and enthusiastic Team Manager to join us in one of our Duty and Assessment Teams.

For this role you will have considerable experience of working with children and their families in a statutory social care environment, specifically managing and supporting social workers and ASYEs, and a wealth of experience supervising complex caseloads on a busy team.

As Team Manager you will be responsible for a team providing assessment, planning and intervention services to children in need of a statutory assessment.

With fantastic leadership skills and attributes, you will ensure your team members are well supported and equipped to succeed. We expect you to have extensive frontline experience as well as a solid track record of managing and developing a team. Building positive relationships is important not just with the children, young people and families we work with but also with colleagues and external partner agencies.

You will offer a high level of support and challenge to your social workers and inspire your teams to do their very best for Tameside children.
