The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Specialist with expertise in permitting and regulatory compliance. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the project's environmental standards are met and upheld across all phases.

Key responsibilities include:* Leading environmental permitting projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.* Preparing Environmental Permit applications for activities and discharges to water, land, and air to support various construction phases.* Producing and interpreting technical reports.* Providing expert advice on environmental performance and compliance, working closely with site-based environment teams.* Assessing activities and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.

The IndividualWe're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:* In-depth knowledge of the UK environmental permitting regime, with proven experience managing permit applications.* Experience working for UK environmental regulators (e.g., EA, NRW, or SEPA) is desirable.* The ability to analyse scientific reports and investigations related to waste, water, and air permit applications.* A proven track record in monitoring and enhancing environmental compliance within relevant sectors.
