My client is a leading Life Insurance company specialising in Protection and Employee Benefit products.
The business requires an experienced Propositions professional to join as an Interim Head of Propositions on an initial 6 month contract. You should have experience leading a team of 5+ and have strong knowledge of UK Protection and/or Employee Benefits products.
This is a business critical requirement at a time of major growth. There is genuine scope for a permanent role beyond the contract.
Start: ASAP - Ideally by mid-March if possible.
Duration: 6 months + potential extension or option for permanent role
Location: Brighton - ideally 2 days in the office however flexibility is open to discussion.
Rate: Up to £750 per day via Umbrella company
Role Overview:
You will drive the strategic development and market approach for Individual Protection and Employee Benefits, optimise relationships with external partners, and ensure propositions are competitive and customer-centric. This role involves cross-functional collaboration, managing technical aspects of propositions, and representing the company in media and industry forums.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposition Development: Lead the development of customer-focused propositions, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
- External Relationships: Oversee relationships with service providers, ensuring competitive service and pricing.
- Benchmarking & Customer Outcomes: Regularly benchmark propositions against the market and customer feedback, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Product, Distribution, Marketing, and more to optimise results and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven leadership experience with 10+ years in propositions or product management.
- Strong knowledge of the UK protection market.
- Strong commercial acumen, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
- Expertise in problem-solving, data analysis, and converting insights into actionable strategies.
