We are currently working with a local authority in the East of England who are recruiting for an experienced Fire Safety Assessor to join their team and assist in managing the council’s properties ensuring they are compliant with fire safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:•Conduct thorough fire risk assessments across a range of council properties, identifying potential hazards and recommending suitable mitigation measures•Assist in the development, implementation, and review of fire safety policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure compliance with the latest fire safety regulations•Provide detailed reports and action plans following risk assessments, ensuring timely follow-up on any identified issues•Collaborate with property management teams to ensure that fire safety practices are effectively integrated and adhered to in daily operations•Deliver fire safety training to staff and stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of fire safety procedures•Stay updated on changes to fire safety legislation and provide guidance on any necessary adjustments to ensure continued compliance•Support in audits, inspections, and investigations related to fire safety incidents, maintaining accurate records and reporting to senior management as required

Requirements:•A solid understanding of fire safety regulations and risk assessment methodologies, ideally with qualifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent in fire safety•Experience in conducting fire risk assessments, especially in a housing or public sector environment•Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and fire safety plans•Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders, including residents, contractors, and regulatory bodies•Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
