We are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering consultancy for a Senior Planning Manager. This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the world's most prestigious and high-value infrastructure projects in the renewable energy sector, all while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote role from anywhere in the UK.PLEASE READ THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS BEFORE APPLYING.About the Role:As a Senior Planning Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing, monitoring, and integrating project schedules to ensure efficient project execution. You will work closely with various teams, including Projects and Turnaround Planning, Operations, Engineering & Maintenance, Process Development, Procurement & Contracts, and Construction. Your strategic input will be vital in aligning schedules across all construction projects and establishing best practices from a Project Controls perspective.Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in Interactive Planning and Construction Lean Planning Sessions to develop comprehensive schedules.
  • Ensure alignment between Engineering, Procurement, and Construction plans with the Integrated Primavera Master Project Schedules.
  • Support forward planning during early project stages using preliminary concept and design information.
  • Develop Construction Scheduling Templates using historical benchmarking data.
  • Identify resources and man-hours required for project activities and maintain accurate estimates.
  • Ensure Field Performance updates are captured accurately in Project Schedules.
  • Perform schedule analysis, including critical path and slippage analysis, and assist in developing recovery plans.
  • Prepare consistent planning/scheduling reports against Baseline targets.
  • Account for approved change orders and analyze their impact on the project.
Essential Criteria:
  • Senior level planner with team leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience in renewables, power generation, or power transmission/distribution.
  • Experience in construction (design or build) of capital projects such as facilities or critical infrastructure.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Nice to Haves:
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Understanding of Isometric drawings and Engineering 3D Models.
