Are you a Senior SQL DBA who has a passion for client facing work?
I am working a SME IT Service business who due to new client wins are looking for a Senior DBA who can hit the ground running and take the lead on new and exciting Database Projects.
As a Senior DBA you will manage your own client work and support the wider team, offering mentoring and additional technical support where needed.
The senior DBA will have the opportunity to work closely with the senior management team, bring new ideas to the table, research technical areas of interest and share knowledge to continue to develop the service offering.
Senior SQL Database Administrator (DBA)Knowledge and Experience:
- Expert understanding of SQL database design and maintenance principles.
- Proven ability to manage critical and complex database environments.
- Strong knowledge of security and database maintenance, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
- Practical experience with database installation, backup, restore, and maintenance, including
- Database backups, restores, and recovery models
- Management of database access and security
- Database performance tuning and maintenance
- Installation and upgrades
- Database replication
- AWS or Azure would be highly desirable
- Experience with SQL Server high availability and provisioning.
- Good commercial awareness and client/contract management skills.
The business operates remote first with virtual meets ups once a quarter, and face to face conferences twice a year for you and the family to attend.
