Traffic Regulation Order Officer 6 Month Contract South West - Local Authority £250- £275 Per Day (Outside IR35)Full Time - 2 days per week on site/ in officeResponsibilities:

  • Implementing TROs in line with legislation, design standards, and council policies. Your contributions will be vital in various projects, ranging from minor highway improvements to major infrastructure initiatives.
  • You will ensure TROs comply with legal requirements, prepare reports, manage correspondence, assist with public engagement, and collaborate with internal teams and legal services.
  • Conduct site visits, and audit completed works.
  • Oversee the commissioning of TRO work to external consultants, managing these relationships to ensure successful delivery.
  • You will assist the TRO Manager with the procurement and management of TRO-related contracts.

About you:

  • You will have an in-depth understanding of all facets of TRO work, including the interpretation and application of highway legislation and regulations.
  • You will bring experience in fostering collaborative relationships with other teams to ensure that highway projects achieve their goals.
  • You will also have strong verbal and written communication skills, the capability to audit construction works associated with a TRO, and the ability to make sound, rational decisions.
