Job OverviewOur client is a leader in managing distributed rooftop solar PV portfolios across the UK. With over 18,000 installations nationwide (totalling 40MWp capacity), they serve Portfolio Investors, Councils, and Housing Associations. They are experts in ensuring optimal solar performance and minimization of operational costs for long-term energy generation. They are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with proven technical experience, installing and maintaining commercial and domestic rooftop, solar PV systems. Travel Requirements:You will be required to travel to solar PV sites across Bristol and the South West of England, with regular overnight stay dependent on location and project size.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reactive and scheduled preventive maintenance for solar PV systems, including system testing, fault diagnosis, and performance analysis
  • Adapt to best practices and legislative changes, updating operational protocols accordingly
  • Ensure technical knowledge and best practices are applied consistently by all engineers
  • Provide technical support to the back-office team
  • Maintain health and safety standards on-site, assess risks, and mitigate them effectively

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Certification
  • 2391 Inspection and Testing
  • AM2 (Achievement Measurement)
  • Proven technical experience with commercial (up to 1MW) and domestic rooftop Solar PV systems, including metering, inverters, and fault diagnosis
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in using technology remotely
