Robert Half are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join a Wiltshire based business on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

This role is critical to supporting business decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis and management accounting expertise.

  • Deliver end-to-end support for management accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities, offering actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain robust dashboards and reports using Power BI and Microsoft Excel to streamline data visualisation and analysis.
  • Support in preparing financial models, scenario analyses, and ad-hoc financial reports to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the transition of temporary financial processes to permanent workflows, ensuring ongoing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and align financial strategies with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with internal reporting standards and external regulatory requirements where applicable.

Key Requirements

  • Qualifications: Part-qualified or actively studying towards CIMA/ACCA.
  • Experience: Proven experience in management accounting and financial analysis roles.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Power BI: Proficiency in designing and automating financial dashboards.
    • Microsoft Excel: Advanced-level skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas, macros, etc.).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive under time pressure and in dynamic, evolving environments.
  • Additional Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive mindset, and eagerness to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
