Director of Finance - Urgent Requirement

Panoramic Associates is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Finance to join our South-West based Local Authority client. This position has become available due to the previous post-holder's promotion. The successful candidate will oversee finance operations, including revenues, benefits, and procurement. While statutory responsibilities are managed by a deputy, this role covers the entire finance post.

Location: South-West (Hybrid working - typically Monday and Tuesday in-office)Salary: £800 per day (DOE)Duration: 6 months initially, with potential for a permanent roleClosing Date: Tomorrow

Key Responsibilities:* Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring efficient operations across revenues, benefits, and procurement.* Engage in onsite meetings, typically on Mondays and Tuesdays.* Collaborate with substantive directors and other key stakeholders.

Requirements:* Extensive experience in upper-tier finance management within Local Government, with a strong understanding of social care and education.* Ideally, experience in a Unitary Authority, though this is not essential.* Well-rounded experience in finance, capable of handling diverse responsibilities.
