Contracts and Procurement Locum ? Urgently Required

Remote Working ? South West ? 3 months +

Overview: High quality of work, all remote

A new opportunity has become available for an experienced Contracts Procurment Locum to join an established legal team within a vibrant Local Authority in the South West. 

The successful candidate will be:

  • Dealing with all legal advice arising from goods and services within large local authorities
  • Ensuring procurement, bid, tendering and contract laws are adhered to within the process of awarding various services including waste, street lighting, social services and goods supplies
  • Working on and dealing with construction contracts, such as NEC4 and JCT
  • Advising teams and departments on various contractual ramifications
  • Involved in general contracts and commercial activities
  • Assisting and developing standard grant agreements
  • Responsible for drafting of bespoke agreements to create different delivery vehicles under joint working or shared services arrangements with neighbouring counties, unitary authorities and district councils
  • Developing contractual compliance mechanism in relation to different bespoke contracts
  • Negotiating and drafting contracts
